Lenovo unveils ThinkPad 8 tablet to compete against iPad mini

Lenovo has taken the wraps off its ThinkPad 8, a Windows 8.1 tablet gunning after the iPad mini.
The ThinkPad 8 features an 8.3-inch display (1920x1080) with a 2.3GHz Intel quad-core Z3700 Bay Trail processor, 8GB of RAM, and storage options of 32, 64, and 128GB. It features an 8-megapixel rear-camera, two-megapixel front-facing camera, a MicroSD card port, MicroUSB 3.0 port, and a MicroHDMI port.
Priced competitively with the iPad mini, the ThinkPad 8 will be available for $399 when its goes on sale in late January. An optional keyboard case and QuickShot Cover will be made available, where users can peel back the tablet's cover to expose the 8-megapixel camera, triggering the camera app to open.
