Buy Google Glass as it goes on sale to the public, but only to a select group
12/31/2013 5:20:00 PM
Your chance to wrap Google Glass around your face may be here as the device goes on sale to the public. But only those who are subscribers of the Google Play Music All Access will be getting invites to buy the latest version of Google Glass, at last.
Previously Google Glass was only available to select developers who were invited to buy the $1500 Glass. Since then Google has allowed those developers to sell their old models while offering the new model to them for free. But the public has never been able to buy directly from the big G, until now.

Google sent out invites to subscribers of Google Play Music All Access - something only those in the US can take advantage of. The invite read: "With the launch of Google Play Music on Google Glass, we've secured VIP invitations for All Access customers to join the Glass Explorer Program. Interested in rocking out while exploring with Glass? Sign up to receive your invitation below!"

It feels a bit cheap of Google to draw in new subscribers to a service using its new kit. A bit clique-focused perhaps. Either way if you're US based, have $1500 spare, and don't mind signing up to Google Play Music All Access you could be invited to buy Google Glass. Sign up at the link below.
