Website of the day: The Good Men Project

Men aren't very good with compliments. Receiving them, that is. Debatable as to whether we're any good at giving them too. But, deep down, we all love them, although we tend to try to shrug them off in an "ah shucks" show of machismo and self-deprecating humour. But some compliments do mean a bit more to us than others.

If somebody tells us that we're "a good man", it's sure to stick in the memory. It's nice. And so much nicer than being called "nice".

But what does it mean to be a good man? What does it take?

We won't say all the answers lie at goodmenproject.com, but there are definitely a few indicators, as the collators of this site gather together stories from men all over the world who describe what it means to be a good man in the 21st century.

There are some fascinating articles here, and it's a refreshing change to some men's interest sites that ram their bravado down your throat, along with a few pictures of scantily clad ladies.

This is quality online reading for the thinking man.
